Description

Aim

Piraņa aims to be a software tool that allows expert NONMEM users to be more productive by streamlining the modelling process, while at the same time providing an easy interface for novice NONMEM users.

Description

Piraņa is a modeling environment for NONMEM and PsN. It can run NONMEM models locally, on the easy-to-implement PCluster, or on clusters on remote servers (e.g. Mosix). It has features for model-analysis (HTML reports and creation of GOF-plots), data-analysis (Data Inspector), and has some useful built-in scripts.

Summary of the main features

  • Manage multiple NONMEM installations
  • Use NMQual or regular NONMEM installations and perform installation of NONMEM from within Piraņa
  • Manage multiple modeling projects easily. View run record listed by run number or as hierarchical tree.
  • Add notes / color coding to your results
  • Open and edit control streams with your favorite code editor, or with the built-in model editor.
  • Duplicate models (update table #, use final parameter estimates in new model file)
  • Use templates to speed up the creation of new models, and use batch processing scripts for modifying multiple models.
  • Run models locally or on a PCluster using the desired NONMEM installation, or through SSH on a linux/mosix-cluster.
  • Piraņa is also a 'wrapper' for the PsN-toolkit and Wings for NONMEM: execute models and use other features, either locally or on the supported clusters.
  • Browse datasets, tab-files and Xpose files and edit them with your favorite spreadsheet app, text editor or R
  • Generate HTML-summaries from NONMEM output files
  • Generate xpose.VPC plots from PsN generated npc_dir
  • Plot and explore datasets or table output files in the Data Inspector.
  • Some batch scripts available from within pirana (e.g. add code, change code block).
  • There are more... Just try it.
